Exercising while Sitting:
It is important to engage stability muscles when sitting to avoid postural fatigue. The exercises demonstrated can be done at any time during the day. There is also a regime of exercises to encourage the deep stabilising muscles including transverse abdominus, pelvic floor muscles and multifidus to be trained in the more functional position of sitting. If you or your client has back pain, it is highly recommended that you commence with the supine and prone stability work prior to doing this sitting routine.
